After The Wedding or Event is Over…How do I Keep My Flowers Until I Can Get Them to Frosted Floral Memories?
1.After the dust begins to settle after your Wedding or event is over, that night, you need to take your flowers over to the sink and allow a slow stream of water to flow into the middle of your Wedding Bokay only if your wedding flowers were designed in a plastic bouquet holder with “oasis” ( a special floral foam that holds water).Maybe your flowers have their stems attached to your flowers ( a lot of florists have special tricks of the trade and the natural stems are not often attached!) and the stems become the handle. In this case, just put the stems in a container of water, including the ribbon and/or the handle decorations. This will not hurt the handle decorations.Don’t forget the Grooms Boutonniere even if it is damaged a lot!
2.Mist the flowers with a little water and place them in a clean plastic bag large enough to cover your flowers.Do not make it too tight.Your flower will re-hydrate through their petals such as wilted lettuce that has been misted with a little water and in a plastic bag.The lettuce re-hydrates and becomes crispy again!Your wedding flowers will do the same thing.
3.Put your event flowers in a refrigerator!NOT the Freezer!!!Our freeze dry preservation experts are the only ones that can freeze your flowers.Just make sure where you place your flowers that they are not in the small spot where the milk might freeze.Do not place the flowers there.Call us at 425.391.9608 or email our preservation experts at preserve@frostedfloralmemories.com ASAP!!!
If your Wedding or Event happened on Saturday…just keep your flowers in the refrigerator until Monday. We do take Sundays off to worship!Your flowers will be perfectly happy…actually the extra day gives your flowers an extra day to re-hydrate.
If your destination, that first night is in a Hotel…try to remember to pack a plastic bag with your overnight bag so you can do the above steps in your room, then take your flowers to the front desk and request the Hotel to place your wrapped Wedding Bouquet in their coolers until you can contact our freeze dry specialists. We know florists say you cannot mix flowers with food, but we are also experienced florists since 1961 AND freeze dry specialists since 1991 and with our experience with so many bouquets we should know best!
·Our very best recommendation is to delegate the above process to a family member or friend!

Eight Simple Shipping Instructions!
It is simple to ship your flowers to our freeze dry preservationists at Frosted Floral Memories.Find a box that will be about 3” bigger, all the way around your Wedding Bouquet. If you don’t have a box handy, just take your wrapped bouquet to your nearest U.S. Postal Office, U.P.S., FedEx etc, …they will have a box for a small fee that will fit your flowers.
Gather crumpled newspaper, peanuts or packing material and place in the bottom 3” of the box.Place your wrapped wedding bouquet on top of the packing material.Cut 10-15 cuts in the plastic so your flowers can “breathe” but small enough so your flowers will keep moist or hydrated.Do not put wet paper towel on the stems. Ship the flowers dry! Finish filling the box on all four sides and cover your flowers on the top.Do not pack the packing material so tightly that you crush your flowers. We just want to keep your flowers from moving inside the box even if the box turns in many directions during shipping.
Enclose an envelope with your name, address, phone number, email address and a check for $100.00, payable to Frosted Floral Memories, as a down payment. If you have a PayPal Account, click on the “PayPal Deposit” button below. Seal the envelope in a ziplock bag or small plastic bag so it will not get wet during shipping.
EXCEPTION!!! If you are sending a single flower...ex: Rose, just enclose a check to cover the amount of flowers that you are sending if under $100
Seal the box with package tape.
5. Write “Fragile Flowers” on the outside of the box with magic marker.
Ship your flowers 2nd day delivery from the U.S Post Office,(They usually do a good job shipping without the big cost!) U.P.S., FedEx, etc. to:

P.S.Putting a “Special Spray” (re-hydrator) on your flowers or putting ice packs inside your shipping box is just NOT necessary!!!We have been receiving flowers across the Great United States for many years now and found flowers ship perfectly, if you follow my “Care of your Bouquet after the Wedding” instructions.Adding ice packs to the box actually crush and damage the flowers more and the ice packs also add to the weight and cost to ship your flowers.

REMEMBER...IMPORTANT!!!
It is CRITICAL that you remember to CUT many holes in the plastic bag over your flowers. Some Brides forget this important step...then the flowers get to us and have molded! That does NOT happen if you cut 10-15 slits in the plastic bag before putting into the box. The plastic bag does not have to be tied around the handle...leave it open...the flowers ship better this way!
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR BOUQUETS WITH CALLA LILIES!
If your bouquet is all Calla Lilies then you especially need to follow this extra step. Calla Lillies are very soft and do not like to be bumped or they get injured very easily! To prevent this tape your bouquet onto a cardboard that is 1" longer all around your flowers. Put your bouquet or flowers into a plastic bag first....then put the tape on one side of the cardboard...stretch it over your handle and tape it to the other side of the cardboard. Do this on 2 spots on your handle so the flowers will not move.
Now during shipping, if the cardboard bounces around, your flowers will not take the bump and will arrive safely. See the diagram next to this explaination if this does not make sense...
Tape your flowers, that are covered with a plastic bag, with 10-15 big slits in the bag...tape the flowers on two areas of the handle so the flowers are snugly attached to the stiff cardboard. This is to prevent damage to the tops and stems of CALLA LILY BOUQUETS or bouquets that have CALLA LILIES combined with other flowers!
